Senator’s bodyguard in court for losing gun at Pipeline

A bodyguard attached to Bomet Senator has been arrested and charged in court for allegedly losing his firearm.

Peter Sigei, an Administration Police officer attached to Senator Andrew Lang’at, was accused of failing to ensure the safety of the firearm (Ceska pistol), which was reportedly stolen from him on April 29 within Embakasi Pipeline area.

The court heard that the officer was accosted by a gang of four people who robbed him of the pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition in the wee hours.
