A woman has denied stealing household goods from a man’s house after having sex with him.

The police said that Dorcas Wanjiru Mburu stole an LG television set, a radio, laptop, mobile phone and cash, all valued at Sh54,400 and properties of Dickens Omondi Ouma.

The prosecution stated that Wanjiru committed the offence on May 13, 2017. The court heard that Omondi met the accused in a matatu where they exchanged numbers after Wanjiru claimed she was a single mother of one - and was allegedly willing to be Omondi’s girlfriend.

According to the police Omondi invited Wanjiru to his house where they had some good time. On the said day however, Wanjiru stole the goods after Omondi left for the shop. She denied the charges.

She was released on a Sh20,000 cash bail. Her trial begins on August 28.
