Politics is not about morals – Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale

Kenyans must know that voters get the leaders they deserve in the sense that those leaders are elected by the voters- Khalwale

In an earlier in interview with The Nairobian, Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale said Kenyans should stop bothering about politicians sleeping with each other or with other people's husbands and wives.

"Kenyans must know that voters get the leaders they deserve in the sense that those leaders are elected by the voters. During elections, voters have a chance to choose between a corrupt and a moral leader.

"My personal take is that Kenyans should stop wasting time about morality. It is corruption that should be a big concern. If you were to choose leaders based on morality, over 90 per cent of leaders in office the world over would not be re-elected.

This is because morality is a very emotive, private and personal matter. What people do in their bedrooms one can never tell."
