Six Moi University students have launched their student-based social site, Vibe Campo at the university this week.

The website officially went live in a colourful event attended by students from several universities in Kenya.

It was designed by a team of engineering students called Brainverse.

The team also conducted a short training for students on how to perform simple tasks and use the social site.

Speaking to the Campus Vibe, site’s lead developer Brian Nyagol said they will monitor misuse, which is common in social media.

“Vibe Campo is not a tool for misuse, and is closely monitored for misleading, insightful or any inappropriate information that may adversely affect the student fraternity and Kenya in entirety,” he said.

Vibe Campo is gaining popularity among students with more than 1,300 users in two months.
