KTN’s E-Curve host has come out to defend herself against haters who have been criticising her American accent.

Carolyn Oyowa, popularly known as Chero says that she lived in the US for 14 years.

“I left Kenya when I was only 10 years old. I studied there from elementary school straight through college and thus the accent,” Chero told Heads Up.

Chero, who is expecting her first baby, also revealed that she has been married for four years now.

This is not her first time on TV having featured on the Samantha Bridal Show on KTN on her special day.

“I was a total bridezilla but I think it’s because I’m a perfectionist. I still don’t know why they chose to put our wedding on TV but I think it’s because we only had twenty guests,” she disclosed.

Having studied medicine at the Montgomery College in Maryland, Chero attributes her interest in the media to an internship programme she participated in at Mavuno Dome.

She has also acted in BriefCase Inc, a comedy drama series that featured on KTN in 2012.
