After earning a feature on The Lion King: The Gift album by Beyonce, Yemi Alade comes through with her own body of work with a master crafted fourth studio album dubbed Woman of Steel.

Following successful release of the album in Lagos, London and Paris, Yemi Alade was in Nairobi where hosted her exclusive listening party for the album, plus her short film titled Home.

On the mic was the ever jovial deep-sounded Chimano, of the famed boy-band Sauti Soul, who kept the ball rolling all through the two-hour session.

Mama Africa, as Yemi fondly refers herself took the guests through a musical roller-coaster of different genres, playing in her turf; from dance hall, to salsa, to the pure African rhythm on the Afrobeat, Souk, highlife, and RnB.

The idea of flaunting her vocals on different genres of music shows how versatile Yemi Alade is.

With her vigorous delivery, deftness and quick adeptness comes Woman of Steel, a 15-track album which features, American rapper Rick Ross, Nigerian waterside singer Duncan Mighty, American Beninois legend Angelique Kidjo and one of Nigeria’s leading actress and philanthropist Funke Akindele.

Woman of Steel is topically expansive with good songwriting. It addresses different topics that affect people at different stages of their lives.
