Musician Charles Njagua Kanyi popularly known as Jaguar was this week charged with dangerous driving and causing the death of two people. The Kigeugeu hit singer was on Monday arraigned at Baricho Law Courts in Kirinyaga where the charges were read.

The court heard that on March 21 this year at the Makutano-Sagana Road junction, Jaguar caused the death of a boda boda cyclist, Mugo Mwangi, and his passenger while driving a Range Rover SUV registration number KCB 808J in a manner that was dangerous to the public.

However, the singer, who was not represented by a lawyer, denied the charges and was released by Senior Principal Magistrate Evans Keaga on a Sh50,000 cash bail. The case will be mentioned on May 5, 2017.
