By Pulse | Monday, Apr 10th 2017 at 10:31

In his new poetic song Acha Nikae Kimya that is coated with political connotations, the celebrated Tanzania artiste has broken his silence on the ongoing Tanzania artistes' crackdown by the government.

The tone is irresistibly empathetic, the hidden meaning of the lyrics deeply engaging, and in this, the truth that is the current showbiz situation in Tanzania is laid bare.

Diamond alluded that the recent arrest of a Tanzanian artiste – possibly Nay Wa Mitego who was being questioned on the hard hitting lyrics of his now banned song viewed to be anti-government – hurt him deeply.

He questions the direction Tanzania is taking and urges for unity.
