Flamboyant Kenyan singer Akothee has weighed in on co-parenting based on her experience. The mother of five compared co-parenting to a failed pregnancy.

According to the Mwiituasa hitmaker, this is because one keeps hoping things will work out in the relationship. The Akothee Safaris CEO urged women not to get comfortable in relationships because things could change at any time.

“Don’t be comfortable for a moment, anything can pop up anytime.  I had to make this relationship work for the sake of my children. None of my baby daddies is my ex, all of them are present in my life, we fight like normal relationships, until further 18 years of notice…

“One person will be genuine with their opinion, the other one will use his powers to create pain to the other one,” she wrote.

“I will still fight until my children grow knowing their parental rights. Mimi ni yule dem, Akothee nyorosha chuma ya doshi,” she concluded.

Akothee admitted that co-parenting is one of the hardest things she’s done because of the back and forth that is sometimes involved.

Jared is the father of Akothee's eldest daughter.

The self-proclaimed ‘President of Single Mothers’ further disclosed that she had made up with her baby daddies for the sake of her children.  The wonderful children she has are from three different men, a fact she openly speaks about. In fact, she made it clear that the three are of Kenyan, Swiss and French origin.

In a recent post on Instagram, Akothee wished her daughter Vesha Okello a happy birthday, sharing a touching video of her eldest daughter’s father.  In the post, Akothee spoke highly of him.
