Former TV presenter Lola Hannigan welcomes first child

Former TV girl and fashionista Lola Hannigan has welcomed her first child, a baby girl. The news was first released to the public by her joyous mother, Irene Hannigan.

“Twinkle, twinkle, I’m officially a grandma for the 2nd time. @lolahannigan. A mum is like wearing the most precious jewel around your neck and arms. You’ll be her first role model. Her best friend. Your forever love,” wrote Irene on her social media.

Congratulating the founder of Zefyyros, a fashion house inspired by the movement of water, Irene stated that the newborn was their new world.

“Both parents. She will make you laugh, a few tears, sometimes even cry but always your world. She will be a constant reminder of what you’re really here for. To my granddaughter let me love you a little more before you’re not little anymore.” She added.

The TV personality turned actress, fashion model and business entrepreneur started her career at KTN.

She has featured in both local and international runway as a commercial model with her highlight being the Strut it Africa runway in 2012.

Born to a German father and a Kenyan mother, Lola launched her first exclusive store off Ngong Road, Nairobi before opening a second in Mombasa in December 2018.

On personal style, she, in one interview, Lola once confessed that she must have a pair of shoes and clothes on her car whenever she steps out.

“A pair of shoes is always in the car and an extra outfit because you just never know what might happen. Those random days usually turn out to be the opposite of what you expected, but you still have to slay it right,” she said.
