Fresh from releasing his latest song dubbed, The Way You Are, Jacob Obunga alias Otile Brown was in Tanzania making waves.

Taking his time, he was hosted by Wasafi FM where he had a quite intense interview.

From talking about his childhood experience to being a businessman, he disclosed that he used to be in the soap business straight after high school. He would go to another job which involved counting sacks at Kenya Ports Aauthority.

“So nikachanga hela, nikaebuka Nairobi,” Otile said.

When asked why he doesn’t get much recognition when it comes to nominations and awards, Otile calmly said that he usually doesn’t talk about such.

“Mimi huwa nominated at the end of the day,” he continued. “Ukiniangalia  mimi huwa sipost. Nime nominatiwa mara nyingi, hata AFRIMA but sipost. “

“The best rapper in Africa and I believe that… But I don’t believe in awards.”

Touching on why he deleted the song Vera, Otile said that he did it because Vera didn’t like it.
