Lawyer Miguna Miguna’s trip back to the country on January 7 has hit a snag in Germany after he claimed that he has been barred from leaving by authorities.

Speaking to Hot 96, Miguna claimed that Lufthansa -Germany's national carrier - has been ordered not to fly him to Kenya or any other African country.

“The Kenya Government has demanded that Lufthansa must refund my fare. They have demanded that Lufthansa should not fly me into any other African country, either.

"Lufthansa flight manager is saying that the Government of Kenya must send official communication to Lufthansa at Frankfurt office before I can be allowed to fly to Kenya or any other African country," he said.

A position refuted by Government Spokesman Cyrus Oguna who, in a statement, reiterated that the lawyer is free to fly to Kenya.

“Any arising issues outside the country will be handled by the Foreign Affairs Ministry,” said Oguna.

A move that has elicited mixed reactions on social media.
