Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has sparked controversy after refunding a fan he considered ‘boring.’

Burna refunded money the fan had spent on his ticket and asked him to leave the front row during a performance.

In a video making rounds on social, the singer is seen talking to a man in the audience, telling him to leave the show or go and stand at the back to free up space for true fans.

He also asked security to escort the fan out of the venue saying, “Your face is not encouraging.”

“Security, carry this guy come off of my front (section). He can go to the back, though. You can’t stay in the front. The front is strictly for my die-hard Burna Boy fans… Everyone that understands what the f*** I do this for. Everyone that sees my sorrow, my sweat, my blood, my tears, that I put into this music and every performance,” he says in the video.

“I do this s*** for you, from the bottom of my heart. I’ve not come here to play. So, if you want to come and do a fashion show. You want to stand and look at me, go to the f***** church, you understand? So, my brother please, your face is not encouraging me.”

News Agency of Nigeria reports that the incident happened during the Atlanta stop of his ‘African Giant’ tour on Tuesday 9.

The Anybody hitmaker reportedly later called the fan on stage to dance with him and apologized for his actions.
