Fiery Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has told off a lovestruck admirer who waded into her Direct Message (DM) in a bold quest to win her heart over.

According to Millie, the suitor, a very good-looking Caucasian male in his 30s to 40s” professed that she was smitten by her beauty and emboldened with the prospect of dating her.

Millie narrated that he was hinging his cupid bow on the premise that she was a member of the Women leaders’ umbrella body, Embrace.

The MP went ahead to share the conversation she had with him in full.

“Recently from my inbox,

“Unknown person: Hi beautiful.

“My response: Who is this please?

“Unknown person: I am your admirer. I follow you especially your work on Embrace with women. I come from America but currently visiting Kenya.

“I can connect you to people who can sponsor Embrace. I would love to meet you. (Then posts photos of a very good-looking Caucasian male in his 30s to 40s visiting various places in Kenya.

“One of the photos only shows his naked upper torso.)

“My response: Unfortunately I am neither in Embrace nor in a position to meet you or assist you.
(I think this guy takes "Embrace" to mean “embrace".)" Shared Millie.

Crashing the man’s ‘embrace’ agenda to smithereens, Millie went ahead to declare that she was too mature to be dating ‘Ben 10s.’

“Guys please, at my age, I tend to think more now of who is trying to date my grandnieces. If I was a man I would say, "The sword is getting rusted". Look elsewhere,” she added.

2018 suitor

In February 2018, another wannabe lover was exposed by the politician for pestering her with phone calls.

According to Millie, the secret admirer cloaked his quest for her in the pretext that he was seeking her ear on an issue.

But on getting an appointment, he declared he was heads over heels for her!

“When you are a public figure you have to listen to all manner of things. Like a young man calling severally yesterday on an “important" issue. I am not in a position to deal and presuming he is my constituent with a genuine need I tell him to call tomorrow at 11 am.

“He calls faithfully today. “I have seen how beautiful you are and I want you to be my girlfriend".

"From the profile picture, he looks the age of my grandchild. I told him corporal punishment is outlawed but I may just seek reintroduction to allow his parents unleash common sense and decency into his head,” the MP wrote on February 19.

Millie Odhiambo is married to Magugu Mabona.
