MTV VMAs 2019: All the winners including Cardi B and Taylor Swift

All the winners from the MTV VMAs 2019 as Taylor Swift and Cardi B lead the way.

Cardi B and Taylor Swift led the way as the awards were handed out at the MTV VMAs 2019.

The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) were held this year at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and hosted by comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco.

Stars including Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers took to the stage to perform for the screaming crowd.

But the night wasn't without its controversy.

The show's host Sebastian Maniscalco came under fire for "poking fun at mental health and trauma".

He told the audience: “If you feel triggered or you feel offended by anything I’m saying up here, they’re providing a safe space backstage where you’ll get some stress balls and a blankey."

It lead to backlash online with many switching off.

Taylor Swift meanwhile appeared to aim a dig at US President Donald Trump urging him to endorse the Equality Act.

There were also a number of see-through dresses on the red carpet with musician Mariahlynn and star Peppermint sporting suggestive outfits.
