Police are holding the Principal of Kisumu County Technical College after the institution allegedly failed to register students for the national examinations that began on Monday.

At least 40 learners claimed their names were missing in the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) list of students set to sit the module exams.

Confusion marred the institution yesterday, with the students left pondering next move.

They claimed they had each paid Sh13,500 and had last week received confirmation texts reminding them that the examinations would begin this week.

County Police Commander Benson Maweu confirmed the arrest and added that the principal would be charged.
