Daniel Sturridge's stolen dog found after Sh3 million appeal

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge's dog has been found after he put up a £20,000 reward to have it returned.

The 29-year-old posted a video on Instagram saying he would 'pay anything' for information about his dog Lucci's whereabouts and said he 'just wants his dog back'.

The clip also shows a shattered glass door where he believes the burglars gained entry into his Los Angeles home.

Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the dog had been found and an investigation has been launched.

In his desperate plea to find Lucci, Sturridge said: "Somebody has broken into the house in LA and took my dog from the house. Listen whoever knows who broke into my crib, I'll pay you anything.

"I'm dead serious. I wanna know who took my s***. I wanna know what's went on. I wanna know why they've took my dog!"

He also said some bags were stolen from the upper floor of his home.

The football star said that he would pay '20-30 grand' to the person who could bring his dog back.

In another clip following the incident, he said: "Bring my dog to this house, I'm moving out at this house anyway.

Sturridge also uploaded surveillance camera footage of three hooded men walking inside his Californian home.

The Los Angeles Police Department said no arrests had been made but an investigation into the burglary has been launched, according to BBC Merseyside Sport.

He said the dog went missing while he was out of the house for two hours on Monday night.

Lucci is an adorable Pomeranian with Husky markings on his fur.

The pooch was seen accompanying Sturridge on his travels and has his own Instagram page with over 26,000 followers.

His fans were left furious and blasted the home invader for stealing his beloved pooch.

One said: "Who would be that crazy to steal someone's dog? There are some disgustang [sic] people in this world."

Another fan wrote: "Praying you get him back."

Some others asked if Lucci was micro-chipped.

It's not known if he has reported the incident to the police.
