Khloe Kardashian has splashed out thousands to ensure her LA home is cleansed of her ex Tristan Thompson.
The 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has reportedly spent Sh25.7 million to renovate her Sh720 million Calabasas home, making sure that all traces of Tristan are gone.
The reality star was so upset by Tristan's betrayal, when he infamously shared a kiss with her sister Kylie Jenner's then BFF Jordyn Woods, that she has taken drastic steps.
The deep clean led to Khloe having to move out of her home for a little while, with one-year-old daughter True.
Khloe brought in home cleaning service The Home Edit to remove anything that reminded her of Tristan.
She confirmed on Twitter that she was having a renovation at the property and a source close to Khloe has told The Sun that this was her "way of being in control," of the situation that threatened to engulf her.
The source said: "Every trace of Tristan was removed - not just photos and his things, she moved those out in the weeks following the split."
The cleansing of the house was so complete that 'every reference to Tristan' was erased including "cooking sauces, protein powders and cups they used to drink from."
Such was the undertaking that even the coffee machine was reportedly replaced "because that's the one he wanted."
After the initial shock of Tristan's betrayal, Khloe has looked to keep the split amicable for the sake of their daughter True but has moved her belongings from their Cleveland house, where Tristan is a pro basketball player in the NBA.
The renovation has seen all areas overhauled, even if it is just a fresh coat of paint.
The source continued: "Her walk-in wardrobe got renovated - removed the 'his' section and remodeled it into one big space for her.
"Now all her favorite pics of herself and True are now framed and on the wall, it's all decked out now for mommy and daughter."
Khloe will no doubt use this as a springboard to a new chapter in her life, in which she can move on from Tristan.
