Nigerian dancehall singer and songwriter Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie alias Patoranking is arguably one of the biggest African stars to emerge and own the continent’s music scene in the current decade.
A reputable vocalist with perfected stage presence to match, Patoranking has crooned his ways into many hearts across the world and has amassed a sizeable following and fortune in the process.
Among those he holds dear in his heart is his two-year-old-daughter Wilmer whom he has dedicated his upcoming album that is set to drop on the 24th May 2019.
A visibly proud father, Patoranking has never shied from sharing moments with his daughter ever since she was born.
While unveiling the album cover, he wrote a letter to Wilmer where he stated that she shares a “similar spark” to Former US First Lady Michelle Obama.
“I write you this letter in hopes you understand your greatest value, of importance and bravery, forged in rich heritage, African royalty, a champion that’s who you are, remember to pursue your greatest potential, in you, there could be a Yaa Asantewaa, a spark similar to Michelle Obama. Flawed I am not, for your eyes cloak me in deep comfort…” he posted.
Just four days ago, the singer stunned his followers on Instagram with an adorable video of himself feeding Wilmer.
“Daddy Duties. Wilmer is coming,” he captioned the video.
You have a chance to meet this doting father in Kenya on May 31.
He is expected to grace Radio Maisha’s second edition of the Choma na Ngoma musical concert to be held at the KICC alongside Tanzania’s Nandi and Alicious from Congo.
Sauti Sol, Hart the Band and Willy Paul are expected to headline the much-anticipated music concert.
