The court also instructed that Kinuthia be allowed medical access at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) during his detainment; He sustained injuries after a mob descended on him as he tried to get away after hacking Ivy with an axe.

The case is set to be mentioned on April 30.

Speaking to Eldoret East DCI boss Ali Kingi, Kinuthia earlier claimed that despite investing emotions and money in the deceased, she did not reciprocate, provoking the attack.

Wangechi is set to be interred on Thursday at her family’s home in Mahiga, Nyeri County.
