It’s barely a week since Akothee was trolled on the internet over her controversial performance at the Papa Remo Beach Party that took place in Watamu.
During the episode, the Abebo hit maker took to her Instagram to post a series of videos of herself in bikinis, a clear indication that she is not fazed by the comments made towards her.
Blogger, Robert Alai and the Kenya Classification Board chairman, Ezekiel Mutua were among Kenyans who were against the way she conducted herself and shared their views on their respective social media pages. This was the least of her concerns as she recently posted a video in a bikini with her legs in the air with the caption #callpolis.
It was until the mother of five was contacted to comment on Ezekiel Mutua’s post that she directly addressed him.
“Who is Ezekiel Mutua? Nonsense! Where is the media when I want to promote my music? You only look for me when negative publicity follows me. Nonsense!” said Akothee before hanging up the phone.
Speaking during an interview at a local television station, Akothee explains that she should not be considered anybody’s role model and that those that visit her pages should only take what suits them.
Memes have been generated around the pictures taken during Akothee’s performance in Coast and are currently making rounds online.
