New worker kills supervisor on fifth day for being too strict

A farmhand has sent shock waves across Uasin Gishu County after he reportedly murdered his new supervisor for being too strict and allegedly high handed.

Police in the area have launched a manhunt for the man who committed the heinous act at Kamoiywo village, Soy Sub - County.

Confirming the incident, Eldoret West Police boss Shadrack Bittok said Felix Kipkogey Kibet, 30, suspected to be from Keiyo North, allegedly sneaked on Jane Jepkorir Limo, 54, while cooking and hit her on the head several times using a hammer at around 1 pm killing her instantly.

Kipkosgey, who had only worked at the farm for five days, had reportedly complained to his colleagues that he couldn’t stand the supervisor’s strictness.

“He had several times complained that he is a circumcised man and was not going to let a woman yell at him anyhow,” said Koech, a local who worked with the assailant.

The suspect is then said to have locked lifeless body of the deceased inside the kitchen, where she was found much later.
