Raila Odinga’s son Junior has weighed in on allegations made by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko during an interview with Citizen TV touching on Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.

Junior is now seeking Governor Waititu’s membership in a movement seeking the legalization of marijuana in the country.

“Governor Sonko just made some allegations about Waititu. I think Gov Waititu should now join the movement of legalising Marijuana for medicinal purposes, if it gets successful there will be no more hiding,” wrote Junior.

Junior’s move is courtesy of Sonko’s JKL interview where the Nairobi Governor alleged that he and Waititu used to smoke marijuana when they were MPs.

“Ajue Nairobi ni ya kila mtu. Hiyo maneno ya kuamka asubuhi na kutoa order kwa mali ya watu, wananchi wamekataa…” said Waititu in a video played to Sonko by the show host Jeff Koinange.

To which Sonko responded, “I think he used to smoke a lot of bhang when he was an MP. I’m a witness to this.  We used to go to a certain toilet there. We used to smoke a lot of bhang with this guy. In fact, he was hiding bhang in the socks.”

“You can’t say that live on air, we don’t have evidence,” interjected Koinange.

“I have evidence, we used to smoke with him. I stopped smoking but he still smokes,” added the governor.
