PHOTOS: 'Empire' series star jets into Kenya for two-day workshop

American actor Morocco Omari better known as Tariq Cousins over his stellar performance in television drama series Empire as an FBI agent, is in Kenya.

Tariq jetted into the country on Monday for a two-day workshop targeting Kenyan film actors and directors.

The training is scheduled to start today, the 10th of January, and end on the 11th at Kenyatta University before he waltzes across the border to Uganda.

There, Tariq is expected to impact his vast knowledge and experiences in theatre and film to budding Ugandan talents and professionals at the National Theater and Makerere University.

The Uganda event will take place on the 18th and 19th of January respectively.

His Kenyan tour has so far taken him to The Lord Erroll, Fairmont The Norkfolk and a tour of the Nairobi National Park courtesy of Bonfire adventures.

He first appeared in the series near the second half of Season 2 as Lucious Lyon’s half-brother but with an FBI agent twist out to get the hip - hop mogul.

He appeared on 15 episodes.

Apart from Empire, Tariq has also starred in Homeland, Chicago Fire, NCIS, Joan of Arcadia and Dragnet among others.
