Bongo sensation Ali Kiba has given his two cents on not bagging the AFRIMMA best male East Africa Award of 2018.

Ali Kiba explained that he is not worried about missing out on the award as some of his fans expected.

He added he was not in music for the recognition and that awards were just a by the way.

Mambo ya tuzo inakuja as a by the way,” he explained to Bongo 5.

The singer was recently under fire and forced to delete the song Hela after uploading it on YouTube.

Clearing the air on the controversy Hela generated, Ali Kiba said that it was uploaded on a wrong day.

Some fans, however, argued that the song was old and the singer was regurgitating content.

He denied the allegations noting that his craft was still on top.
