Boni Khalwale under fire for standing with Governor Obado

Governor Okoth Obado and Boni Khalwale

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale faced backlash from a section of Kenyans after standing with under-fire Migori Governor Okoth Obado.

Khalwale shared a photo of himself alongside the governor at the Milimani Law Court where he faced murder charges over the gruesome death of Sharon Otieno.

“This afternoon at the Milimani High Court I stood with my friend Gvn Obado over the vexing question of the murder of Sharon Otieno.

“Let justice ring in all the villages of Migori and Homabay...” wrote Khalwale, to the vexation of social media users.

Khalwale’s sentiments elicited sharp reactions from Kenyans among them Martha Karua who wrote, “I may not be in court but I stand with the victim’s family!”

@BenjiNdolo What the hell are you going through to become so erratic and reckless, you used to be Ndume kamili…you think it’s a simple thing to be accused of taking lives??

@Apostle_Enoka I may not be in court but I want all to get justice.

@john_olwanda He is guilty until proven otherwise!

@BenjaminWanyon8 I wonder why some are bringing feelings in this [email protected] can stand with anyone he feels like so hizi hard feelings hazisaidii

@JoyceKip Thank you, everyone has deserted Him. I am still hanging on the presumption of innocence. May justice prevail.

@ArmandosLokalei Shame on you

@mc_kholil You don't run away from your friends simply because they are suspects.

@Obi_kenya001 You leaders should allow the courts to do their job, your presence in there will only compromise the case.

@KiziriiW I knew you were shameless.
