The beef between the two artists has been dormant until it was recently reignited by Bebe Cool following his recent comments that his foe, Bobi Wine, is faking injuries.
The former has given the saga a new twist after he claimed Bobi Wine could be faking injuries which he sustained while he was in police custody.
Booed off the stage while performing at the Swagz All-Star concert held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on Friday, Bebe was pelted with objects as Bobi Wine’s supporters chanted ‘Free Bobi Wine’ as he refused to leave the stage.
‘’They are not throwing bottles to me because they hate me, no! They’re sending a message to me. Only that they're sending a message to the wrong person. They're sending the right message to a wrong person,’’ he said.
A supporter of president Museveni, Bebe Cool held a candid interview with NTV Uganda yesterday where he strongly condemned violence and torture. He however did not mince his words accusing his fellow artist turned MP of wanting pity so as to further his political career.
‘’Media, NTV, you had your cameras, watching this young man (Bobi Wine) getting onto the car after court, he held the car like this (makes an illustration with his right hand) with one arm and raised the other arm with the crutch. What was down here? Was he in the air or standing on his feet?’’ Bebe posed.
“Media, you look at a man putting on the heaviest shoe in life, one that even people who are not sick with their legs feel they cannot move with it because it is too heavy and media still don’t analyze that,’’ he went on to add.
This came hours after his nemesis was allowed to seek medical treatment abroad.
After all the drama, the Ugandan hitmaker has decided to take an indefinite break from public performances until the political temperatures in his home country cool down.
In a long post that has since gotten thousands of comments and shares, he stressed on the importance of peace and tolerance as he takes a break from public engagements for the safety of all those involved.
