After winning Student Oscars, Mandera bus attack film shortlisted for the 90th Oscars nomination

The infamous 2015 Mandera bus attack was commemorated in a film, Watu Wote: All of us. The short film was produced in 2016 as the graduation film for the Hamburg Media School master class program.

The film was nominated for the Student Oscars and went ahead and won the coveted accolade.

Later last year, the film was again nominated for the 90th Oscars Academy Awards. The film is listed along other nine live action short films and the 10 together will advance to the voting process for the 90th Academy Awards.

Short Films and Feature Animation Branch members will select five nominees from the 10-films list.

The Branch screenings will be held in Los Angeles, London, New York and San Francisco this month and the nominations for the 90th Academy Awards announced on Tuesday January 23rd 2018.

The 90th Oscars will be held in March 4, 2018 in Hollywood.
