The U-turn resignation of Mugabe after days of uncertainty sent the small landlocked country into a frenzy as its citizens poured into the streets in celebration.

Song and dance rang in the streets, villages and homes as the reality dawned on the Zimbabweans that Mugabe, 93, was finally out.

His exiled former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is reportedly expected to jet back into the country today and expected to assume power.
