Six injured in accident involving Uhuru’s motorcade

Six people have been injured in an accident involving a 14-seater matatu and a police car that was part of Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade in Kisii today.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were headed to a political rally in the county.

The motorcade had left Suneka Airport when the police car encountered the matatu, injuring several police officers.

Casualties were transported to nearby private hospitals for treatment.

Uhuru and Ruto are said to have alighted and stayed with the injured while they received treatment and transport to hospital.
