Blackstreet and SWV to headline KICC Valentine’s show

American Multi-platinum R&B sensations Blackstreet will join all girl trio SWV for a special Valentine's concert at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on February 18.

The group will arrive on February 16 for an experiential tour of magical Kenya. They will visit Nairobi National park, go for site seeing and enjoy Kenyan cuisine before the concert. 

 Full programme of their stay in Kenya is to be rolled out on  at KICC on 17th.

The KICC Chief Executive Officer Nana Gecaga said they are organising two more international Concerts in 2017. The concerts will soon be unveiled.

"We are excited to host this event which marks another major milestone towards establishing KICC as a premier concert venue in the region", said Nana             

"We thank the organizers and partners for their continued support as we work to build our capacity for bigger and better shows in the future" Ms. Nana added.

 The Events are an effort to make KICC a vibrant venue just like all other iconic buildings around the world as well as leverage on the artists as brand ambassadors to market the destination."

The concerts will contribute greatly to development of the economy through multiplier effect.

"This will also gives an opportunity to local Artists and fans to see, feel and learn from the group" added Gecaga.

Best known for their mega-hit No-Digitty, Blackstreet dominated the global music charts in the 90's with their captivating R&B and Hip-Hop fusions earning the group 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Group.

SWV (Sisters with Voices) is also an American female trio with series of classic R&B-pop hits including Weak, Right Here/Human Nature and I'm So into You. The group recently premiered a reality TV series, SWV Reunited, which highlights the trio's dramatic celebrity lifestyles.

Advance tickets to the event are currently available on and MPESA Paybill number 314450 for Sh3,000 (Regular),  Sh10,000 (VIP) and Sh25,000 (VVIP). Ticket holders will receive a variety of special giveaways including gifts, dinner packages and complimentary hotel vouchers.
