A common Swahili saying states that “ukistaajabu ya Musa, utaona ya Firauni.”

An affluent Ghanaian pastor caused a stir on social media after a video emerged showing him stating that he would fly to heaven.

In the video, controversial Bishop Daniel Obinim who’s the founder of The International God’s Way Church is seen telling the congregation that he felt like soaring away to heaven.

"I feel to fly right now...I feel to fly", said Obinim.

“Watch me, I am about to vanish,” he added, before urging those in the congregation with recording devices to document his exploit.

Members of the congregation appeared to be in distress as they moved forward pleading with Obinim not to abandon them by disappearing to heaven!

This is not the first time Obinim has tried flying to heaven as just seven months ago, he pulled off a similar move.

While wearing a black three-piece suit, Obinim is seen flapping his arms like a bird before running and jumping into the arms of awaiting followers.

Obinim is among the most influential personalities in the West African nation and has been quoted stating that he owns eight customized Range Rovers and 20 houses.

Pastor bitten by snake

Just three weeks ago, adamant congregants forcefully took a pastor to hospital after being bitten by a snake he was preaching with.

Cody Coots, a pastor at Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus’ Name church in Kentucky refused to be taken to hospital, demanding he be taken to the “mountaintop where God would judge whether he lives or dies.”

However, defiant congregants took him to hospital where doctors revealed that the snake nearly severed the pastor’s temporal artery and he would have been dead in minutes.
