No one knows the pain of losing a child more than a parent.

So when Master Dennis Ngunjiri Kariuki disappeared at Machakos Bus Station early September, his family was thrown into untold suffering.

As expected, his dad, John Kariuki Maina and mother Rose Nyambura Ngunjiri who live in Maringo Estate in Nairobi were devastated. They did not just wait for the police to do the searching.

The family took matters in their own hands in the two-month search of their 15-year-old son.

The family went flat out, even hiring private investigators, paying for newspaper adverts as well as physical manhunt, which eventually paid up.

A friend of the family also sought out the help of The Nairobian Defender and we were more than glad to join forces in the search.

Good news! Dennis has now been found and The Nairobian Defender would like to officially call off the search.

Evah Maina, who is Dennis’ aunt, had this to say after Dennis was found:

“Thanks for prayers and kind wishes. God has done it for us. We found him. All glory and honour to God. K-lo Kenya thanks saana (sic) and to Standard Digital Entertainment for the platform. God bless,” Evah Maina wrote to the Standard Digital Site after Dennis was found.

“He appeared well but is still shaken. The family has received him well and we plan to take him for counselling. We hope the counsellor will be able to see him open up and tell us more on what happened,” she added in a telephone call.

The Defender joins the family and friends to thank everyone who played a part in the rescuing Dennis.

Message as put out by The Nairobian Defender on our Standard Entertainment Digital social media pages.
