Michelle Obama thanks her 'silver fox' husband Barack for 'not being a lame duck' as Presidency draws to a close

It was a bitter-sweet moment for Michelle Obama as she made her last TV appearance as First Lady.

Speaking with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show in New York City on Wednesday she paid tribute to her husband Barack as his Presidency draws to a close.

Fallon and Obama reminisced about their first time seeing each other at the White House, which involved Fallon wearing a headband and spandex in a potato sack race.

In a sketch where she penned a letter to her husband and outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama, the first lady wrote, "Thank you Barack, for proving you're not a lame duck, but my very own Silver Fox."

It is understood it will Michelle Obama's last appearance on a talk show as first lady.

It comes after Barack Obama tearfully thanked Michelle during an an emotional final speech as President on Tuesday night.
