President Uhuru last week commissioned the Buxton footbridge in Mombasa as part of the Sh3.2 billion worth of projects to be commissioned in the county. The commisioning mirrored that of that of Kirinyaga governor Joseph Ndathi who infamously launched a foot bridge back in 2014.
Many Kenyans on Twitter did not take it too kindly with some wondering if Jubilee is looking for any photo opportunity by commissioning even the smallest of projects.
This has spurred the hilarious #UhuruChallenge where Kenyans are cutting ribbons to the most mundane things. From 'commissioning' slippers, avocados to lotion bottles, here are some of the funniest tweets.
